Most people think of Franco-American relations through the cultural prism of food, fashion, the arts, and tourism, but few know how generations of sports ties strengthen this transatlantic friendship.

#FranceAndUS highlights these sports ties, the different ways that sports diplomacy’s people-to-people cultural, technical, and knowledge exchanges fosters closer ties, and how much interaction there really is between France and the United States through sports.

Le Musée du Basket a été fondé en 1984 par Gérard Bosc et René Lozach pour recueillir, conserver et mettre en valeur le patrimoine du basket français. Depuis plus de 30 ans, le Musée a constitué des collections uniques dans le but de les préserver et de les faire vivre auprès du public. Musée virtuel, Espace muséal au siège de la FFBB, expositions itinérantes mais également implication dans des projets de recherche historique et de publication d’ouvrage…le Musée fait vivre le patrimoine du basket français pour étudier et raconter son histoire.
