Where to Get Thanksgiving Dinner for Dine-In and Takeout in Portland

It’s your turn to host Thanksgiving, and you’re wondering how you’re going to cram a turkey, stuffing, and two different pies in your oven. Here’s something to be thankful for: several Portland restaurants, classic and new, are offering Thanksgiving dinners for dine-in and takeout, serving up traditional as well as modern options, to fit a range of budgets. Read on for our picks.


Dine In: You want a buffet

Brix

Various locations

From noon to 8 p.m. at all three locations, Brix is offering a buffet-style dinner that includes not just turkey, but also prime rib and salmon, along with traditional sides. Prices are $49.95 for adults and $17.95 for kids 4–12; kids under 3 are free. Make reservations online here.

Jake’s Grill

Downtown

The sister restaurant to Jake’s Famous Crawfish is offering a daytime buffet, offered from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The buffet is $62 per adult and $31 per kid aged 4–12. The buffet spread includes turkey, steak, and salmon, plus plenty of chilled seafood (shrimp, snow crab legs, crawfish), a salad bar, smoked gouda mac ‘n’ cheese, and a bevy of additional options. They also have a $38 per person traditional Thanksgiving dinner (non-buffet) in the evening from 7:30–9 p.m.

Dine in: You Want a Classic Meal

Jake’s Famous Crawfish

Downtown

While you can still order the full menu (including crawfish!) at Jake’s Famous Crawfish on Thanksgiving Day, there’s also a special Thanksgiving dinner on offer, which includes turkey and sides including corn bread dressing and butternut squash casserole. Dinner runs $38 per adult and $15 per kid. Reservations are available from 3:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. Book a table online.

Abigail Hall/Bullard Tavern

Downtown

Bullard Tavern is preparing a turkey dinner with all the typical fixings and housemade pies on Thanksgiving Day; the same menu is also available at neighboring Abigail Hall. Make reservations for both Abigail Hall and Bullard online.

This restaurant, located on the first floor of the Hoxton, is serving a traditional-with-a-twist family-style Thanksgiving meal for $65 per person. Dinner is offered from 5–9 p.m., and includes turkey along with sides like coffee-gochujang roasted carrots, sweet potatoes with bruléed coffee marshmallows, star anise cranberry sauce, and crispy porchetta with fennel. Make reservations online.

Portland City Grill

Come for Thanksgiving with a 30th-floor city view. Three-course meals are available all day on Thanksgiving for $69 per person, with plenty of choices—soup and salad for starters, mains from turkey to steak to cioppino, and pie or cake for dessert. Grab a table online.

Takeout: You Want Extra Dessert

Bullard Tavern

Downtown

A four-person takeout meal package starts at $200 and includes a half-smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, brussels sprouts, stuffing, roast carrots, and half a pumpkin pie. You can also add on pecan sticky buns (breakfast the next day?) as well as apple pies and bourbon-pecan pies and wine. Order online for pickup on November 22.

Meal packages are available for four people ($225) or eight people ($425); you can also build your own dinner a la carte. Options include turkey (with poached breast and confit legs), apple and Italian sausage bread pudding, and desserts from winter squash pie to pink lady apple pie and classic tiramisu. Pickup takes place nearby at 4537 SE Division St on Wednesday, November 22, from noon to 6 p.m. and on Thursday, November 23, from 8 a.m. to noon. You can also get your meal delivered for an extra $15. Place orders online.

Meal packages are available for individuals or groups of six, or order a la carte. Dinner for one is $28, while dinner for six is $240. Options include turkey, stuffed portobellos, mashed potatoes or potatoes au gratin, mac ‘n’ cheese, green beans in a Madeira sherry cream sauce, and apricot-roasted veggies. Get your orders in online by November 12; delivery is available, as is pickup on November 21 and November 22 from all Elephants locations, as well as its central kitchen in Southeast Portland.

takeout: You Want a Bargain

Huber’s

Downtown

Though Portland’s oldest restaurant, Huber’s, is already booked for dine-in service, takeout is still available for pickup before or on Thanksgiving Day. The meal package for 10 people is a bargain at $190, a traditional spread of a whole turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, plus beer bread. (You’ll have to make your own green bean casserole.) Place orders online here.

Jake’s Famous Crawfish & Jake’s Grill

A Thanksgiving dinner package here will run you $236.50 for five people. It includes roasted turkey, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, butternut squash bisque, mashed potatoes, salad, butternut squash casserole, green beans, bread and butter, and pumpkin pie. Order online by November 20 for pickup on Thanksgiving Day between noon and 4 p.m.

Northwest District

Though Ringside is best known for its steak, it also puts out Thanksgiving meal packages. A dinner for six will run you $240 and comes with a turkey breast, stuffing, roast carrots, whipped potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Order online here.

Zupan’s Markets

Along with lots of a la carte options, Zupan’s has a complete Thanksgiving meal for four people, which includes turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce for $125. Customers can add additional sides, like green beans, brussels sprouts, and pies for an extra cost. Place orders online by November 19 for pickup between November 17–23.

Takeout: You Want a Modern Twist

Market of Choice

From November 2 through November 19, customers can go online and pre-order a la carte Thanksgiving meals for pickup November 17–23. Cooked mains include traditional turkey, ham, or crab, though customers can also order cook-your-own proteins like porchetta or miso-glazed halibut. Sides and appetizers range from chorizo-cornbread stuffing to sushi platters.

World Foods/Ya Hala

Various locations

Chef Mirna Attar from Ya Hala Lebanese Cuisine runs the deli side over at World Foods, and she’s also doing a special Thanksgiving dinner menu, available at Ya Hala as well as both World Foods locations. Dinner packages include whole roast turkey, brussels sprouts gratin, truffle-rosemary mashed potatoes, pita and sourdough bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, and rolls. A la carte options are also on offer, including hummus plates, salads, pies, and baklava platters. A package for two to four people costs $110, while a package for six to eight costs $200. Place orders online by November 19 for pickup between November 20–25.
