Loop is the circular solution to single-use packaging, allowing you to buy your favourite brands at leading retailers and restaurants in reusable containers that are collected, cleaned, refilled, and reused again and again. When your Loop product is finished, simply find a Loop return point on the map and drop off your empties. You can keep a deposit balance in the App, or withdraw it at any time. Smooth process
Process has been smooth from the initial sign up. Making an account was easy, so was scanning the item I was returning in store. A few days later the deposit was confirmed and the money was withdrawn to my account within just a few minutes of the request.
Lots of parts that could go wrong in the process but so far it’s working great and that makes me more comfortable continuing to use loop in general.
Only small thing I would say is the app seems to log me out quite regularly, but it’s easy to log in again.
Such a good idea!
So happy when I saw this at my local Tesco, loads of products I already used but in refillable containers and its so easy to just bring them back and return them before starting my weekly shop. Great way to increase a circular economy
Useless if you can’t log on
Purchased Loop items in Tesco, download the app and registered, confirmed my email and tried to log on only to get ‘an error occurred’. Contacted customer service on 2 November who informed me it was an incorrect password . Not convinced as I had only just created the account!!!
Next problem - to reset your password you need to open the email in the device the app is on. I don’t do emails on my phone. Further emails to Customer Service stating this, the last one on 2 December and no response!!!!
Wanted to reduce waste and give this a try but the app is useless unless I can log on so I have wasted my money on the purchases.
