I could not put this book down. I loved it so and the spice was so 🥵 ugh I was rooting for these two so hard. I loved the angst and drama. So good.

Unexpected, Emotional, and Hot!
Under her authority is about Rose, a former marketing professional who moves to her hometown after she gets fired from her job and her fiance cheats on her. I started this book off thinking it would be like the other office romances I've read where the h/H the hero is the ultimate say and the heroine falls head-over-heels for her rich alpha billionaire boss. But because I have a thing for office romances and enemies-to-lovers, I decided to give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Rose wasn't a stand-and-take-it sort of heroine. She is Shane's boss and demands respect, something I would love to see in a lot more romance novels.
If you're looking for a well-written alpha, Shane Williams is it. Shane is an EX-MARINES turned playboy and creative director at LAMBDA Digital. There is something sexy and subtle about him. Shane knows what he wants and instead of forcing himself on Rose, he lets her navigate their attraction. The way Shane and Rose met is....I wasn't really expect it, just say that, but I kind of enjoyed the change of pace.
There were alot more explicit scenes then I thought they read natural and the chemistry between Shane and Rose is explosive. Seriously. I was sweating reading these sex scenes.

“I want to take you to my bedroom.” Rose had started to taste more wine, but she paused before the glass could reach her lips. Shaking her head, she set the drink on the patio table.
He went on, not wanting to be stopped by any objection, “I’ll slip your dress off your shoulders while kissing your neck, nibbling the spot you like underneath your ear. When you’re naked, I want to take my time exploring your body. You have an amazing body.” He took a moment to run his eyes down her hypnotizing form. “I’d like to taste it."
I give this book five stars because this female-centric rom is probably one of the best I have read in a while. I've had some issues reading "feminist" books in the past where the author has the heroine fall in love with a borderline abusive hero or calls every girl she sees a "slut." That is NOT a feminist. This book proves that you can have a strong heroine and a sexy alpha hero without any emotional abuse or manipulation. The author has a fun and engaging way of writing that hooked me from the very first page. There were times I wanted to cry because of what Rose was going through and laughed because Shane was always there to catch her when she fell.
TRIGGER WARNING: This book DOES talk about assault. There are NO graphic scenes of this, but if you're not someone who likes to read about heroines with a history of assault it may not be a good buy for you. Overall I thought that the way the author tackles the issue an in interesting and unconventional way that didn't make me feel uncomfortable.

Hot hot hot!I loved this book along with the characters!
Rose has moved back to her hometown after losing her job and catching her fiance cheating on her.But there are reasons she left her hometown in the first place.
Shane is the creative director at Lamda Digital and also a major stakeholder since he helped start the business, but not everyone knows that.
They meet each other in a bar and the attraction is off the charts.Rose resists a little at first but gives in after a while.Rose remains on Shane's mind and for the first time in a while he's occupied with a woman.But to his surprise when he comes to his office to meet his new boss, guess who it is?Yep!Rose!
I loved watching the relationship between Shane and Rose develop slowly.The chemistry between them was so good and the author has written out their interactions very beautifully!The best part was this isn't just a romance.Though Rose is confident,intelligent and independent as hell, she has some issues from her past to work through too which Shane helps her with.It was really refreshing to read a book without the typical alpha,bossy jerks and to see the woman with the upper hand.
It's not like Shane isn't alpha, but he's the right kind of alpha who knows where to give in and how to respect his woman.Both Shane and Rose balanced each other out well.
The secondary characters were also well written.Rose's family was a hoot!They teased her mercilessly but were always there for her too!The subplot with the work and office issues also added a lot to the story.
All in all this book was a great combination of romance and steam with amazing characters and beautiful writing.Can't wait to see more from this author!

What a great book for a debut novel and author! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. A sexy playboy meets his match with a tough workaholic that can hold her own, even against him. However once they're together everything and everyone disappears. Rose tries hard to stay away from Shane, but fate keeps pushing them together. They have their ups and downs throughout this steamy HEA love story, along with some major decisions to make. But I liked the complete package! Due to sexual situations and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours for an honest blog tour review.

Rosemary “Rose” Berkowitz is one of the few that are super smart. But just because you’re lucky in the smarts department doesn’t necessarily mean you are lucky in love. She also has a mother like mine – you know you’re in trouble when…, you’ll just have to read the story to find out. Shane Williams is the man in charge. Both in business and in his life. But then he meets Rose.
This is a story where you have to be careful where you stop reading. I thought I picked a good stopping point but I found when I picked the book back up that I was confused with what I was reading and had to go back and reread the section again. This was nothing against the writer or her style of writing. Just like with books, life gets in the way and I can’t seem to get out of the way of mine lately. Once I went over the section again I was fine. This is one reason that we need to pick the best spot to stop, if we have to, so that we don’t seem confused when we get back to our favorite sport – reading.
The steam level with this book is off the charts – thought my screen was going to fog over. I’m glad that I have an e-reader with a mute button. If this book came with sound, and I didn’t have earphones, I could either be embarrassed, heated, or in trouble. I wouldn’t mind but those around me might give me one of those glares.
The author does a great job at creating Rose’s family – at times I was in stitches. I could picture a family just like that – a lovely embarrassment to single women everywhere. She does a great job with her main characters as well. You can see that Rose is trying to work through some insecurities and then she meets ex-marine alpha male Shane. His power comes through the pages – especially the no prisoners attitude. But he’s strong enough in his masculinity to let Rose feel her way through their relationship. What surprised me was to find out that this was a debut novel. If you love erotica, this is an author to watch out for.

I had the gambit of emotions with this book too.
Ohhing, ahhing, some moaning and some damn I want that too
going on. As well as heart break and wondering if this is
right for Shane and Rose.
Do yourself a favor and pick up this book.

After an unforgettable night of raw searing passion, it’s time to get on with the business of getting back to business. Rosemary and Shane turned up the heat and set a few of the pages on fire with their display of sexual delight. The sparks that fly between the two keeps you wanting to turn the pages to see just where the fire will lead. The build of the relationship between the two also entangles you to push forward. There was a lot going on here to keep you involved in the read.
All the characters gave you much to get involved in. There was depth for secondary characters. Charm. Delight. The banter. The comradery. The chaos. The bonds between friends. This was a read that left you with more than what you walked in on. I recommend reading if you are looking for a sexy hot, page turner that gave up the goods.

This was hot. I figured it was going to be when there was a reader advisory...and it did not disappoint.
This book is definitely erotica. Which is fine, and I enjoy...but is definitely something the reader should be aware of going into the book, as this is not for everyone.
Shane and Rose have chemistry. It is fun, it makes the co-worker romance REALLY work as, hello, no one is going to be able to ignore a spark that strong for long. I loved this about the title, as sometimes erotic novels skip the connection with the characters, the characters take a back seat to the sex. In this one, both were fully developed...and it made it even hotter.
The secondary characters, her family, the coworkers, were all interesting and added to the narrative in a positive way and worked to allow the characters to seem like real people with lives outside of their work relationship.
There were a couple of places where I thought the narrative skipped a bit and a couple of times where the balance of the pacing seemed a little uneven, but nothing to make me unable to enjoy the story.
I recommend this book.

Surprisingly, on the first day of her new job, Rose discovers that not only does Shane work at the same company, but SHE is his boss. I truly enjoyed this twist and especially loved the journey that Ms. Shade takes us.
The story line is well paced, refreshing, and I enjoyed the unexpected emotional parts within the story. The characters are well developed and engaging and I was rooting for Rose and Shane. The sex scenes were hot and steamy and I had a difficult time putting my Kindle down! Under Her Authority is a wonderful book and I look forward to more of Ms. Shade’s work!

Oh man, one of my favorite storylines is the old one-night stand that turns into something so much more like it’s a long lost friend’s brother or a coworker at a job that starts in a few days. This is the predicament Rosemary “Rose” Berkowitz finds herself in… her hot AF nigh with a sexy stranger just so happens to be one Shane Williams—resident bad boy hottie and now Rose’s employee!
Shane’s used to being the man in charge… he’s not one to give in to authority, especially one packaged so deliciously as Rose. She’s his dream woman, but he’s forced to keep his feelings in check because Rose isn’t willing to go down that path with him again… her body is, but her mind is not!
I loved the give and take between Rose and Shane. They’re both super strong willed and it was really fun watching them try to stay apart. The challenge of working together—with Rose as Shane’s boss was a fun twist too, especially because Shane doesn’t like to take direction. Some of their snarky banter was laugh out loud funny.
All in all, I greatly enjoyed L.T. Shade’s debut! Under Her Authority is fun, smart and very sexy. Missy, 4 stars

One of the best books by a debut author that I have read! Steamy, full of twists and turns, with an extremely Alpha yummy hero - this book will keep you turning pages as fast as you possibly can. I love that Rose can completely stand on her own two feet, her personality allowed to shine on it's own. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a steamy, ultimate love story!

Under Her Authority is as sensual as it is thrilling. Control is the ultimate prize and power, secrets and seduction are the name of the game. Shane is a cutthroat businessman with a will of iron and a heart to match. Rosemary is his equal in every way. Game On. Forget foreplay. This cunning duo is in for the fight of their lives in and out of the bedroom. L.T. Shade must have read my mind. For me, a strong personality and a complicated journey are an appealing combination. She delivered both with a heaping dose of emotional baggage. WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER.

Under Her Authority is a thrill ride! Their first meeting is a bit unconventional but Rose and Shane's attraction to one another had me with all the feels! I laughed. I ooo'd and aww'd. I wanted to hate and love them at the same time. It's a satisfying read thats sweet, doesn't beat around the bush, funny with just enough intrigue and of course HOT! Trust me, this is a book you don't want to skip over.

Deep down, she's an innocent, and sweet country girl, but as a leader, she is a boss with an iron fist. So on a night out with her friends, a tatted up, bad boy that is Shane, intrigues her, she knows that's the last thing that she needs, however fate has other plans in store for her. WOW WOW WOW! I would have never guessed that this is a debut book, as I was captivated fully from the beginning. Shane is the perfect mix of sexy/bad boy alpha, and Rose was fantastic. Their combustible chemistry ignites an explosion of sexy scene goodness that will take out all panties near and far. L.T. Shade has a very addictive, and talented writing style that I couldn't get enough. She fully captivated me, while holding me hostage to 3 in the morning, because I couldn't put it down. A few awesome twists made for an original romance, not to mention loud f-bomb dropping moments. I CANNOT WAIT to see what she puts out next, as I'm very excited about this author! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

That is one amazing story! I loved it from start to end and I was so caught up in the relationship between our main characters that I lost track of time. It is still difficult to believe that this is a debut novel, as the writing is impeccable and the way the plot was built is also amazing.
Even from the very first pages, I started to admire Rose. She is not afraid to admit she is still heartbroken after her ex, but strong enough to understand that it could have never worked out. The author has done an amazing job showing her sensitive side, but also the braveness in her personality. Determined to focus on her career, she still has dreams of falling in love and be loved and respected.
Sparks start as soon as she meets Shane – sexy, with a bad boy attitude and a dominant personality. The attraction between them is up in flames, one night stand and all that. Things get even more interesting when they find out Rose is his boss at the office.
I love a romance that combines professional needs with personal ones. I love how the characters struggle for balance and I love the twists their story has. A book that screams “Passion” all over!
Suffice to say I enjoyed it very much and that I cannot wait for L.T. Shade’s next book. Her debut is amazing and I wish her all the luck in the world
Even from the very first pages, I started to admire Rose. She is not afraid to admit she is still heartbroken after her ex, but strong enough to understand that it could have never worked out. The author has done an amazing job showing her sensitive side, but also the braveness in her personality. Determined to focus on her career, she still has dreams of falling in love and be loved and respected.
Sparks start as soon as she meets Shane – sexy, with a bad boy attitude and a dominant personality. The attraction between them is up in flames, one night stand and all that. Things get even more interesting when they find out Rose is his boss at the office.

I have read a ton of these books and this is one of the best. It’s got amazing sex scenes, great tension. It’s not syrupy or cliche or cheesy either. The character motives are clear and there isn’t anything eye rolling in it. (There’s even one point where they are fighting from a misunderstanding and the girls gonna leave and the guy tells her something like “you’re gonna stay and let me explain. This isn’t the point where you walk away and don’t hear me out.” Bc SO many romance novels use that device and it’s cheesy and cheap for tension development. Kudos on not doing that, author.) I’m really really impressed with the author’s writing skill and her character development. It’s honestly hard to find in this genre. I hope she catches more readers and I hope she does nothing but churn out books so I can have more quality writing in one of my favorite genres.

So I gave this one 2 stars simply because it was just okay. It saddens me when I come across a book that just doesn't do it for me and this was one of those. I never connected with the characters. Their dialogue didn't feel natural to me and their situation while starting out was okay, it quickly went to unbelievable. I love getting lost in a book and I just couldn't with this one. In fact, I kept hoping it would get better, but I ended up reading several books in between while I was trying to finish this one. The story line was okay, but for me, it was the fact that it didn't feel natural.

A great duvet novel. The author delivered some steamy sexual chemistry on all the right notes. It took me a bit to get into it, but once I got a few chapters in it was really good.

At first I didn't think I was going to like Shane, but boy was I ever wrong. I just loved the way he was with Rose. She definitely deserves someone like him in her corner. My heart just goes out to Rose. She has somethings to work through. Rose needs someone who can ease her pain she has inside and Shane may just be what the doctor ordered. It has heart, but it brings the heat as well. I laughed and cried while reading this one. All the characters are great. I was sucked right into this book. Shane and Rose make this book and loved reading their journey.
