  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Bathing suit
  • Towel
  • Appropriate layers (including jacket/sweatshirt) for our quickly changing mountain weather.

Healthy snacks and lunch will be provided. We prefer no electronic devices at camp; for emergency use only. Staff will be using radios.

Where do we drop off and pick up our children?
Kids Adventure Camp drop-off and pick-up is at the Palisades Kids building. This is close located between the Red Dog chairlift and the Base to Base Gondola at Palisades.

What will my child do on days with bad weather?
Down days don’t happen very often in the summer, but if they do, we have plenty of fun games and activities on the lower mountain to keep your child engaged, including yoga, ‘Be a Chef’ day, eco-hikes, arts and crafts, indoor rock climbing, and much more.

Where will my child be all day?
On an ideal day at Adventure Camp, your child will explore the lower mountain as well as the High Camp area on the upper mountain with their counselor. From waterfall hikes on the lower mountain to exploring at High Camp, your kid will discover all that Olympic Valley has to offer.

How can I find my child?
If you ever need to get in touch with your child, all our counselors will be equipped with radios, so we can get in touch with them from our sales team in the Tram building or calling the sales center at 1-800-403-0206.

What fitness level is needed for the Eco-Hikes?
Our Eco-Hikes will range in distance and difficultly. Our trained counselors will accommodate our guests by providing physically appropriate hikes for their group. Most hikes will range from 1-3 miles. Note that this program is physically demanding and kids will be outside most of the day.

Will snacks and lunch be provided?
Yes! A healthy lunch is provided and we provide healthy snacks to keep your child’s energy level high. Picky eaters and children with severe allergies may want to bring their own lunches and snacks.

What should I put in my child’s backpack?
To be prepared for a day at Adventure Camp bring sneakers (close toe shoes), sunscreen, a hat, a swimsuit, a towel, a water bottle, and extra layers for our quickly changing mountain weather (i.e. sweatshirts, jacket, base layers).

Will my child be in a group with other kids their age?
Kids Adventure Camp is broken into two age groups. Explorers are age 5 to 7 and Mountaineers are age 8 to 13. Cognitive and physical skills are different for each age group and we find that discovery takes place when children are in the appropriate age groups. Depending on the day and group numbers, we will do our best to fit each child into the appropriate group that best fits their needs. The activities will be designed for these individual age groups.

What if I need to cancel my child's reservation?

Adventure camp is refundable until 3 pm two days prior to the date of the camp. Reservations cancelled after 3 pm two days prior are non-refundable or subject to a $35 re-booking fee.

5-Packs are non-refundable, but can be rescheduled if necessary up until 3pm two days prior to the date of the camp. Reservations rescheduled after 3 pm two days prior subject to a $35 re-booking fee.
