TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As a principal for Transwestern in Dallas, Kim Brooks is currently responsible for overseeing leasing and marketing of over 3 million square feet of suburban and CBD high-rise office space.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Kim has 21 years of commercial real estate experience and has been with Transwestern for 15 years.  Prior to joining Transwestern, she served as a marketing representative for Wilcox Realty Group, where she was responsible for the leasing of over 850,000 rentable square feet of space in five suburban projects. 
 
 She has also served as a tenant representative for Cawley and Associates, where she developed a client database in excess of 600 contacts.  Kim began her career in the asset disposition department of the Resolution Trust Corporation.

Kim has been an active member of the following professional organizations:

  • 1997/1998 Associate Leadership Council
She was ranked among Dallas/Ft. Worth’s Top Brokers by Costar Group based on 2005, 2009 and 2010 office leasing transaction volume and awarded the Black’s Guide ’ Top 35 under 35 in 2002. Kim was also recognized as a Transwestern Top Producer in Dallas in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010; as well as being nationally recognized as a Top 25 producer in 1999, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Kim was recognized for the Chairman’s Club in 1999; as well as recognized for the Champions Club in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Kim received the Transwestern Founders Award in 2009. She was also awarded the Plano Economic Development Board ’ Deal of the Year in 2005 and the Transwestern Central Region Deal of the Year in 2004. Kim was awarded the National Owner Advisory Services award in 2006.
 
She has served on the Transwestern Board of Directors for 2004-2005 and 2006-2007.

EDUCATION

Kim received her bachelors of business administration degree in marketing and international business from The University of Texas in Austin.
