Altigreen says its electric three-wheeler completes 150+ kms run on a single charge

Electric three wheeler company Altigreen has claimed that its neEV has managed to complete a journey from Mysore to Bengaluru on a single recharge.
"With a lithium-ion charged all-electric powertrain, the Altigreen neEV three-wheeler cargo vehicle completed the 150+ kms intercity drive between two iconic places of Karnataka, i.e. Mysore Palace and Bangalore Palace, on a single charge in about six hours," Altigreen said in a press release.

The neEV will be offered in 3 variants and is expected to be priced around Rs. 4,00,000 after subsidies.

Dr Amitabh Saran, Founder & CEO of Altigreen said, “Range anxiety is one of the biggest concerns for electric vehicle owners and potential buyers. This is a bigger challenge for small format vehicles that deliver essential goods and perishables. Frequent charging is out of the question since EV charging infrastructure is still at a nascent stage in our country. Essentially, we need holistic solutions, not tomorrow but today. Therefore, we designed the vehicle around a larger Lion battery pack (11kWh versus the market competition at 8kWh) and used our technology leadership (26 global patents owned by Altgreen) to ensure the highest regeneration of energy and thus, maximum mileage."
