We offer our members two ways to extend their warranty on many of the products sold at Costco.
Allstate Protection Plans:
Purchasing extended warranty coverage through Allstate Protection Plans.
Costco Technical and Warranty Services:
Costco extends the manufacturer’s warranty on the following items for up to 2 years from the date of warehouse purchase or date of delivery if the item was purchased online:
- Televisions
- Projectors
- Computers*
- Major Appliances†
†Refrigerators (above 10 cu. ft.), freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers and dryers.
See the manufacturer’s warranty for specific coverage terms. Costco reserves the right to fulfill the second-year warranty obligation through, at Costco's choosing, repair, replacement, or a refund up to the purchase price. Common exclusions are data backup and software replacement, physical damage, or liquid damage. Costco Technical and Warranty Service advises backing up your computer frequently.

Using both Allstate Protection Plans and Costco Technical and Warranty Services can get you up to 5 years* of warranty coverage on qualifying products!
*For example, if you purchase a television and also purchase an Allstate Protection Plan, the total warranty coverage is 5 years (the first 2 years through Costco Technical and Warranty Service and the following 3 covered by Allstate). Please see each warranty for specific coverage terms.
