Norilsk Nickel eyes creation of corporate export fleet — department head

"This fleet can be potentially used for imported products from Asian markets since this is the general purpose container fleet," Ravil Nasybullov noted

MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. Norilsk Nickel is considering an option of establishing the corporate fleet for warranted product export, logistics department director of the world’s largest palladium and nickel producer Ravil Nasybullov said at the Russian Maritime Congress.

"I do not exclude almost all products will be refocused to Asian markets in either event. Accordingly, we will be prompted to build up our cargo carrying capacity," the department director said. "We as the company are seriously thinking about establishment of our own export fleet, enabling us to securely export products. This fleet can also be potentially used for imported products from Asian markets since this is the general purpose container fleet," he noted.

Norilsk Nickel had no problems with engagement of European ships earlier, Nasybullov added.
