Maiden drilling at Recharge Metals’ existing Brandy Hill South ground has unearthed visible copper.

Recharge Metals (ASX: REC) has unearthed what it describes as “significant” sulphide zones during the first two diamond holes drilled at its Brandy Hill South copper project.

The diamond drill holes were completed for a total of 843.8m and tested a down hole transient electromagnetic (DHTEM) conductor west of the Salt Creek Shear.

Both holes hit zones of massive sulphides, blebby sulphides and disseminated sulphides.

Recharge noted the observed mineralised zones coincided with the location of the high-order DHTEM conductor.

Managing director Brett Wallace said it was a great result with both holes intersecting sulphides in previously untested ground.

A further three holes will be drilled to test another two high-priority DHTEM conductors.

Mr Wallace said the company looked forward to receiving the assays from the recently completed holes along with those from eight pre-collar holes, which targeted shallow nickel mineralisation.

Brandy Hill South

Recharge acquired Brandy Hill South in 2021 from Revolution Mining, which drilled three shallow reconnaissance reverse circulation holes.

All holes hit “significant copper” over a substantial strike and ended in mineralisation.

The project is within Western Australia’s Murchison Province and covers the Salt Creek Sheer.

It is also close to Silver Lake Resources’ (ASX: SLR) Deflector gold-copper operation.

Drilling earlier this year at Brandy Hill South uncovered broad zones of nickel and silver mineralisation as well as copper.

Notable results were 42.1m at 0.26% nickel from 96.9m; 29m at 0.21% nickel from 144m; and 57m at 0.25% nickel from 109m.

Other highlight mineralised intercepts were 6m at 0.31% copper from 141m; 119m at 1.3 grams per tonne silver from 257m, including 1m at 13g/t silver; 10m at 0.41% copper from 171mm, including 1.2m at 1.72% copper; and 234m at 1.5g/t silver from 159m, including 1.2m at 18g/t silver.

After receiving the results, Recharge reviewed previous RC holes completed at Brandy Hill South and identified similar nickel mineralisation.

Mr Wallace said identifying nickel and silver was a “pleasant surprise” at the project given the focus on copper.
