SHFE Nickel Fell in the Early Trading, and the Spot Trading was Poor

On October 12, spot premiums of Jinchuan nickel were 10,000-13,000 yuan/mt, and the average price was 11,500 yuan/mt, up 1,750 yuan/mt from the previous trading day.

SHANGHAI, Oct 12 (SMM) - On October 12, spot premiums of Jinchuan nickel were 10,000-13,000 yuan/mt, and the average price was 11,500 yuan/mt, up 1,750 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Quotes of NORNICKEL nickel were 4,200-4,500 yuan/mt, and the average price stood at 4,350 yuan/mt, flat from the previous trading day. In the early trading, SHFE nickel prices dropped. The premiums of Jinchuan nickel rebounded slightly, but the overall spot prices were still on a downward trend, and the spot trading was average. The prices of nickel briquettes were 182,000-183,300 yuan/mt, down 5,500 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The market witnessed almost no transactions as the cost efficiency of the in-house dissolution of nickel briquette drops again.
