At the same time as Errawarra is getting ready to drilling of priority electromagnetic anomalies at its Andover West Nickel Project, the Company is also looking into the tenement’s potential to host lithium mineralisation.

The company is working with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation to complete follow-up heritage clearance surveying focussed on planned drill pads and associated access tracks with a view to starting drilling in December.

Errawarra Resources (ASX:ERW) expects to complete these pre-drilling surveys by the end of November, which will allow it to start diamond core drilling on the first of three priority EM conductor anomalies.

Once each hole targeting the EM plates is completed, the company intends to conduct down-hole electromagnetic surveys to potentially identify conductive massive sulphide accumulations which can be targeted in follow-up drill holes.

Andover West

Andover West covers an area of 110km2 in a favourable geological setting for nickel close to Azure Minerals Andover Project, which hosts a Mineral Resource of 4.6Mt at 1.11% nickel, 0.47% copper and 0.05% cobalt.

Besides this nickel potential, reconnaissance work aimed at identifying the occurrence of lithium-bearing pegmatites on the tenement has resulted in the observation of characteristic pegmatite textures associated with some dyke occurrences,

These dyke occurrences – up to several metres in width – were first mapped by the Geological Society of Western Australia.

Several of these southwest striking bodies were sampled and the samples have been dispatched to Australian Laboratory Services laboratory in Perth for analysis.
