Since the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) public health emergency began in 2020, the County of Mendocino has made several changes related to Board of Supervisors meetings to protect the public's health and prevent the disease from spreading locally. Part of this effort includes the ability for members of the public to participate digitally in meetings in lieu of personal attendance.

How to Stay Engaged:

Call or Video in to Board of Supervisors meetings for Public Expression or agenda-specific Public Comment (agendas can be found here):

  1. Join the Meeting via Zoom by using the Webinar ID located on the front page of the agenda. When Public Expression/Public Comment is called for by the Chair, use the "raise hand" feature (located at the bottom of your screen) if you'd like to comment on that item. If you are calling in to the Zoom meeting via telephone, you will need to press *9 to raise your hand and lower your hand. Please do not raise your hand until the Chair has called for comment.
  2. When the chair calls on you, you will be unmuted and given 3 minutes to speak. Please state your full name for the record (First, Last), prior to making your comments.

Submit a written comment via eComment

  1. Mendocino County uses a service called eComment that directly attaches your comments to agenda items in real time. You can submit an eComment by clicking the eComment link on the meeting you wish to comment on here.
  2. Note: eComments will not be available until the meeting agenda is published 72 hours before the meeting.

Leave a voicemail comment

  1. Call 707-234-6333 and leave a voice message, up to 3 minutes in length, to be sent directly to the full Board of Supervisors, as it relates to the published agenda.
  2. Speak clearly, being sure to leave your full name and the agenda item upon which you are making comment.
  3. The deadline for voicemail comment submittal is 8 AM the day of the meeting. Voicemails received after that time will not be recorded as part of the public record.
  4. Please note that comments will not be played back during the meeting itself.

Watch a live broadcast

There are five ways to watch the live broadcast of the meeting:

  1. The YouTube livestream
  2. The Facebook Stream
  3. The Granicus livestream
  4. If you live in the Ukiah Valley, you can also watch on Comcast channels 3, 64, & 65.
