Treats for Chickens Subscribe + Save auto-renewal program is a program to automatically ship and charge your account on or about the 5th of every month.

You will save 20% on eligible Subscribe + Save products, keeping some cash in your wallet and your mind free of the worry and bother of logging in to order products.

Eligible Subscribe + Save products are identifiable in the following way:

  • Throughout the website and entire shopping experience you’ll see “Auto renew 20% off”. As an example: Chicken Crack® 1lb 13oz bag Auto renew 20% off

  • Subscription eligible products are highlighted in green first and all-the-way to the checkout.

  • During the checkout process you will see the “powered by recharge” icon on the upper right of the page.

  • The product’s price is discounted 20%

Treats for Chickens Subscribe + Save members save 20% off each subscription and we think that’s a pretty generous savings! We understand that every fowl parent and coop is different and a subscription might not be for everyone which is why you have the flexibility (see below).

As a Treats for Chickens Subscribe + Save member, you have first priority on product availability and shipments.

Plus, there’s lots of flexibility and you can cancel, skip a month if you have plenty, or edit your order depending on your preferences and the season. Maybe you are going to be out of town (stocking up for the chicken sitter?) – either way you’ll still get the best price on your flock’s favorites!
Either way we’ll send you an email three days before your shipment to ensure we get your order right.

And, you’ll have lots of options to add one-time things into your order like seasonal chick products, Molt Mender, bundles of our best sellers or a chicken toy to reduce boredom.

Remember: you, of course, have the flexibility to cancel, edit, skip or add-on a one-time item.

California’s Amended Automatic Renewal Law includes additional notice and cancellation requirements for both free trials and automatically renewing plans, as well as an emphasis on affording consumers an “immediate” means of cancelling.

Our subscription provider states that “Frictionless cancellation within the customer portal: All customers will no longer be required to provide a cancellation reason. However, they will still be able to provide a reason if they would like to. This will be the default for all stores.”

FAQ: Subscription Account

During open season you will see Subscribe + Save options on the website product pages. Please sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to be notified when Subscriptions open again in the Spring/Summer of 2024. Once you are in you can purchase a product that is active on our Subscribe + Save program and save 20% each time.

Once you sign into your Account on the Treats for Chickens website (link above), you have control of your subscription. You can edit the quantity, frequency, schedule, products, or add a coupon code (limited to Local Pick-Up only) by clicking "Manage Subscription" on your account page or by contacting Customer Service.

You can see our eligible Subscribe + Save products above. Subscribe + Save eligible products are highlighted in spring green first as shown above.

You can add or remove products as well as swap, skip or cancel your subscription from your existing subscription by logging into your account.

1)Login to your account

2)On your My Account page Click “Manage Subscriptions”

3)Click on “Subscriptions”

4)Look at your Active Subscriptions

5)Click “Add a product” if you wish to add another product OR

6)Click on the selected product that you wish to remove

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click either “Swap product”, “Skip this order”, “***Cancel Subscription Click Here!***

Note: each product in a Subscription requires it’s own Subscription updates/ edits/ cancellation/ add-ons.

 

You can add one-time items to your existing Subscription in a couple ways: email the Treats for Chickens team at orders@treatsforchickens.com a minimum of 3 days before your scheduled order, and we will add the one-time purchase product for you.

OR

Log into the Treats for Chickens website and navigate to your Subscriptions customer portal, select Subscriptions and add the one-time item.

Sometimes your flock will gobble up more than usual and you find yourself running short on supplies. Or if you’re going to be away and are planning farther ahead you can easily edit your subscription date to suit your flock’s needs.

1)Login to your account

2)On your My Account page Click “Manage Subscriptions”

3)Click on Upcoming orders

4)Select your upcoming order and click “Edit”

5)At Order date, select the date you desire and click “Update next order date”

Please note, if you need assistance or let’s say you prefer to have us take care of edits or add-ons before your order is charged, we are available at orders@treatsforchickens.com. Our hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm CA/PST. We are closed on Fridays and weekends.

There are a couple of ways to resolve this.

  • Delete your cookies and cache in your History browser and Clear Browsing Data. Then, Refresh the Login page and try again.

  • Verify that you are using a supported browser Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Microsoft Edge.

  • Disable your pop-up blocker.
  • Contact Team Treats and we can double-check if your Account is activated or if the Account profile is incomplete. We may be able to resend an Account Invite and you can reset your password. We are available at orders@treatsforchickens.com. Our hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm CA/PST. We are closed on Fridays and weekends.

If a problem should arise when processing your subscription order (credit card is expired, declined, needs re-authentication or insufficient inventory (shhhh, don’t say that!)), we will notify you via email requesting your help so that we can get your information updated and your order out to you as quickly as possible.

If the incorrect product was sent, please contact us orders@treatsforchickens.com. Our hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm CA/PST. We are closed on Fridays and weekends.

You will receive your Subscribe + Save order as often as you choose. You select the frequency based on your flock’s needs and preferences. Monthly, quarterly, or once in a blue moon—whatever works best for your individual situation and coop. Remember, you can change the frequency and quantity or cancel at any time. PS: Treats for Chickens is in accordance with California’s Automatic Renewal Law.

FAQ: Billing

Your credit card will be charged during Checkout of your first Subscribe + Save purchase. For each additional Subscribe + Save shipment your credit card will be charged on the day you have scheduled your shipments to occur. Please note: your credit card data is encrypted. Treats for Chickens has limited visibility to your data to include full name, address, type of card, expiration date and the last 4 numbers of your card.

Subscriptions require a major credit or debit card to be kept on file for recurring payments. Acceptable forms of payment are: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Please note: your credit card data is encrypted. Treats for Chickens has limited visibility to your data to include full name, address, type of card, expiration date and the last 4 numbers of your card.

ShopPay, PayPal, Venmo, checks, cash, cashier checks, cryptocurrency, etc, are not acceptable forms of payment for a recurring subscription.

Subscribe + Save orders are billed automatically to the credit card you associated with
your order on the day you have scheduled your shipments to occur. Please note: your credit card data is encrypted. Treats for Chickens has limited visibility to your data to include full name, address, type of card, expiration date and the last 4 numbers of your card. Your personal information is not shared.

Not a change: no hidden fees, sneaky fine print or bad attitudes here. There is no fee to join, no yearly membership fee, no maintenance fees, no cancelling fee either. We are free of fine print and hidden fees.

At Treats for Chickens, our Subscribe + Save program is a generous one offering 20% off eligible products.

LOCALPICKUP: no shipping fee for our local community, allowing orders to be picked up onsite at our Cotati, CA, location.

Additionally, we offer $11 Flat Rate shipping on Orders $100+ (does not include taxes or shipping). This is an automatic discount, no coupon required.

In order to delete the old credit card, new credit card information is required first. After the new credit card is entered (and charged once with the Subscription) you can return to your account and select Delete to remove the old credit card. We agree: this is time consuming.

You can edit or delete your payment information by following the steps below:

1) Login to your account

2) On your My Account page Click “Manage Subscriptions

3) Click on “Payment methods

4a) If your account has only one credit card on file, click “Add payment method

4b) Fill in the new/updated information

5a) If your account has two or more credit cards on file, select the credit card you intend to update and click “delete” or "edit"

5b) A popup will appear “Remove payment method” and click on “remove

6a) Uncheck or keep checked “Update all of my subscriptions to use this payment method.”

7a) Click “Add payment method

8a) Go back to “Payment methods” and select the credit card to delete

9a) Click “delete” and

10a) A popup will appear “Remove payment method” and click on “remove

Treats for Chickens products are covered under our Terms + Conditions with proof of purchase.

All sample sizes and all opened products are non-refundable. All shipping charges are also non-refundable. As the manufacturer, we prefer customers to contact us directly about issues.

Please note that we cannot issue refunds or returns for products that were not purchased directly from www.treatsforchickens.com.

You may return new, unopened item(s) purchased from TreatsforChickens.com within 7 days of delivery for a refund or store credit, minus a 20% restocking charge based on the price paid for the item, excluding the shipping charge. We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error or you received an incorrect or defective item.

You should expect to receive your refund within 6 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases, you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Refunds on Subscribe + Save orders have a 24 hour waiting period for processing. Please refer to Terms and Conditions on our Refund Policy.

FAQ: Shipping

Three days prior to every scheduled Subscription order, you will receive an upcoming notification email including product details, shipping, and billing information. You have until midnight EST the day before your order is processed to make any changes. If all looks good and no changes are needed, no action needs to be taken; your order will ship as planned on the scheduled date.

To update your auto-renewal shipping address, please follow the instructions below:

2)On your My Account page Click “Manage Subscriptions

3)Click on “Shipping addresses

4)On the “Shipping addresses” page click on the address or arrow

5)Click “Edit shipping address

6)Fill in the new information and then click “Edit shipping address

7)Double-check if the information is correct.

Currently, Treats for Chickens offers 1, 2, 3, 4, + 5 months shipment options for our Subscribe + Save program.

Local Sonoma County residents who are Subscribe + Save customers can enter LOCALPICKUP as a discount code and shipping charges will not be included.

Pick-Up is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 12-3 PM at our Cotati, CA warehouse/office located at 442 Houser Street, Unit E, Cotati, CA 94931.

In the Cart’s notes of your order, you can leave special instructions requesting a specific pick-up date/time during Treats for Chickens’ business hours.

If you don't request a specific date/time we will call or email you when your order is available for pickup. Most orders need to be placed at least 2 business days ahead of Local Pick-Up to allow time for our team to prepare the order.

In an effort to limit foot traffic, Local Pick-Up times are determined by individual order.
