Vale Focuses on Exploration to Obtain Complete Laterite Profile

PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) reported its exploration activities focusing on areas within their Contract of Work (CoW). Vale Indonesia Corporate Secretary Filia Alanda said the Indonesia-listed nickel mining company in Dec 2022 focused on exploration areas in the Sorowako Block and Sorowako Outer Area in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, Bahodopi Block in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, and Pomalaa Block in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. "The exploration activity costs US$942,964," Filia said in a disclosure filing on Monday.

Vale Indonesia used the exploration method through core drilling HQ-3 for the resource development drilling program at 200 meters and 100 meters on Lemo-lemo Hill, Lemo-lemo Central, and Lingkona Hill in the Sorowako Outer Area Block and the drilling program to support mining activities at 50 meters took place on Konde South Hill in the Sorowako West Block and at 25 meters on Petea D1C5 and Petea C0C1 Hills in the Petea Block. "All drilling activities are to obtain a complete laterite profile," Filia said.
