Qingdao Zhongcheng's Subsidary in Indonesia Focuses on NPI Production, Giving no Consideration to Refined Nickel

In addition, Qingdao Zhongcheng confirmed that its Indonesian smelters will focus on NPI production, and has no plan to produce refined nickel for the time being.

SHANGHAI, Feb 16 (SMM) - On February 15, Qingdao Zhongcheng said in an answer to a question about the company's production in Indonesia that the nickel mine under the company's Indonesian subsidiary Bumi Morowali Utama already started operation. But in view of the current Indonesian export restriction on laterite nickel ore, the mined nickel ore will be sold and smelted in Indonesia. The company said it will also pay close attention to the relevant export policies of Indonesia concerning nickel ore.

In addition, Qingdao Zhongcheng confirmed that its Indonesian smelters will focus on NPI production, and has no plan to produce refined nickel for the time being.
