Manny Caixeiro represents industry leaders and cutting-edge companies in their most challenging litigation matters. Manny focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property disputes across a range of industries, including software, medical devices, financial services, and entertainment. He has extensive experience litigating issues involving patent damages, valuation, and licensing on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Highly knowledgeable in this area, he also analyzes the strength and value of a patent portfolio, enabling clients to maximize their returns in transactions, obtain more accurate litigation assessments, budget more precisely, and avoid undue expenses and inefficiencies.

Manny routinely utilizes litigation to enforce his clients' rights under a wide variety of contracts, including merger agreements, acquisition agreements, licensing agreements, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreements, and employment agreements. He has successfully defended consumer class actions in the retail, mortgage servicing, and financial services industries, and has obtained favorable results for his clients in many business tort cases, including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference matters.

Manny has extensive experience defending his clients' trade secrets and other proprietary information. He has litigated multiple trade secret and restrictive covenant cases, including in the entertainment and insurance industries. He has also litigated patent disputes in the fields of medical devices (including surgical implants and computerized instruments), software and networking, and mobile device applications.

  • Obtained favorable settlements for a financial services company in patent infringement cases relating to geolocation and mapping technologies
  • Represented an online marketing company in a patent infringement action relating to visual display technologies
  • Represented software providers in B2B patent litigation disputes over computerized fax and messaging technologies
  • Represented a manufacturer of automatic external defibrillators in a series of patent infringement litigations
  • Represented an esports organization in variety of intellectual property and commercial litigations, including disputes concerning trademark rights, breach of contract, and ownership
  • Managed a portfolio of litigations for a national bank, and provided substantial legal advice, in connection with series of residential mortgage-backed securities litigations
  • Represented a nationwide mortgage servicing company in connection with consumer class actions brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and similar state statutes
