More Corporate Transparency Act news -- The Treasury Department announced that it will decline to enforce any penalties or fines associated with the beneficial ownership information reporting rule under existing regulatory deadlines, and it will not enforce them against U.S. citizens or domestic reporting companies or their beneficial owners after the forthcoming rule changes take effect. Treasury is also expected to significantly narrow the scope of the CTA’s reporting requirements.
