Maria Katherine (Kat) Delos Reyes

Associate

overview

Kat Delos Reyes is an associate focused on trademark, copyright, and data privacy law. Creators and entrepreneurs rely on Kat for support in realizing their goals for leveraging their IP assets in the marketplace. “Innovation is always at the center of my work,” says Kat. “Here, fierce advocacy comes in many forms. Client concerns related to innovation — technology, media, or branding — are ones that my team and I want to learn about and solve.”

Kat teams up with clients to help them create a unique, personalized roadmap for protecting their IP rights on a domestic and international scale. If a creator has a vision they seek to capture with a novel brand, Kat can jump in to provide strategy and support, regardless of where the creator might be in developing their brand. This involves trademark searches, clearances, filings, prosecution, enforcement, and negotiating strategic licensing opportunities. Kat’s work might also involve helping an artist or business secure a copyright for a unique design or literary work by preparing copyright applications. She also assists her clients in maintaining compliance with evolving data privacy regulations around the world.
