About

Connie Stacey is the founder and CTO of Grengine Inc., a clean energy solutions company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Connie holds a BA from the University of Alberta and has worked in the IT/computer-programming sectors. She is a successful entrepreneur who is often asked to speak or participate on panels at international tech and innovation events.

Her company, Grengine, focuses on engineering and manufacturing smart Li-ion batteries, smart battery management systems, and state-of-the-art battery energy storage solutions for individual, commercial and industrial customers. Grengine’s patented Grengine™ plug-and-play battery system allows individuals to replace GHG-emitting diesel generators with silent, fumeless and low-or-no-cost Li-ion battery generators that can be charged by renewables or the grid. When used for energy storage, Grengine battery packs can be stacked or unstacked without the aid of a technician to meet any energy need, and they pair well with renewables, often cutting time to pay off in half for owners.

Grengine ‘s SmartSwitch, a smart battery management system that addresses peak shaving, voltage optimization, load balancing, charge/discharge optimization and time-of-use, results in lower GHG emissions, lower energy use, longer-lived Li-ion batteries and huge cost savings for large-scale customers.
