Dear John,
It is with heartfelt gratitude that I want to say thank you to all of the wonderful clients and pets that I have met over the last twenty-five years at Acorn Veterinary Clinic.
I am about to start a new chapter in my life and I am retiring as co-owner of the clinic.  Although I am very excited to start many new personal projects, I am so sad to know that I won’t be caring for your beloved pets any longer.  We have shared many laughs at the endearing sweetness and silliness of our fur family, and we have shed many tears at their loss.
I have been lucky to have cared for your pets as adorable, fluffy youngsters until their sweet senior years.  I love those cranky old kitties and those gray-haired senior dogs that are just looking for another cookie.  I will dearly miss the bunnies, guinea pigs and hamsters and of course, the chickens!  It always touches my heart to see how much love our clients have for the critters that share their world.
These 25 years have been filled with laughter, tears, and lots of hard work. Dr. Borges and I started the practice when our children were very young with the intention of trying to maintain a balanced life between work and family.  It was difficult at times, but we were able to provide compassionate, personalized care for your pets even if sometimes the kids came to work with us.  Our kids are grown up now, and for me personally, it is time to embark on new adventures.
I am very excited about the future of Acorn.  A remarkable veterinarian who has been with us for four years, Dr. Waka Blair, will be taking my place as co-owner of the clinic with Dr. Borges. Dr. Blair, Dr. Borges, our amazing associate veterinarians, and outstanding staff will continue to provide excellent care for your pets.  The clinic has grown tremendously, and we will be expanding into the space next door where we will be offering more services, including canine physical rehabilitation.
It will be an exciting new chapter at Acorn and I am confident I am leaving your pets in loving, capable hands.
With gratitude and love, Joy

Thank you for trusting Acorn Veterinary Clinic with the care of your pet's health.
