| This has been a year of transition and exciting changes for Acorn Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Joy Jackman retired in March this year after starting up the clinic with Dr. Sally Borges 25 years ago. Dr. Waka Blair took up the helm as a new partner as the clinic moves into the future. Dr. Blair has a long history at Acorn Veterinary Clinic, starting initially as a volunteer veterinary assistant/receptionist 18 years ago and working as an associate veterinarian for 4 years. We are thrilled to have her aboard. |
Acorn has grown over the years and we decided it was time to remodel the clinic to provide better care and more services for your pets. It has been a crazy couple of months as we add 800 square feet and remodel 400 square feet of our original clinic. We are adding two new exam rooms and a new Rehabilitation Center for animals that will include a state of art underwater treadmill and cold Laser therapy.

| The Rehabilitation Center will help animals experiencing post-operative recovery from orthopedic surgery, arthritis, issues resulting from excess weight, and some neurological conditions. The Laser will help with faster wound healing and numerous painful inflammatory conditions. Our goal with this new service is to further improve the quality of life for our patients. |
The little ‘Acorn’ has truly grown into a sturdy oak tree throughout the years thanks to you, our wonderful clients and your pets, our patients. We have been honored to be trusted with the care of your pets throughout the years, and are excited and privileged to embark upon this new chapter with you.
