Construction Updates

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is open to the public, but we need your support!

As we continue to rebuild throughout the coming year after the landslides of the bluff, we will emerge stronger than ever thanks to your continued gifts and support in our Building Hope, Preserving History campaign.

Video Message from the Executive Directors

Official Statement (Updated on May 8, 2024):

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is open to the public, with our cultural programs and private events happening on-site in the following approved areas: Gift Shop/Discovery Gallery, Courtyard, Art Gallery, Butterfly Garden, West Terrace, and recently re-opened Mrs. Hanson’s Room. Casa Romantica is open to the public from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday – Thursday and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday – Sunday.

Certain areas of the grounds are closed for construction crews to complete work. Construction of the slope stabilization has steadily continued and the project has been two-thirds completed. The exact process and timeline will continue to be adjusted to account for the precise geological makeup of the area and inclement weather conditions.

Due to ongoing construction, use of our parking lot area will be extremely limited. During select cultural events, we will offer complimentary valet parking service and we highly encourage everyone to carpool, Uber/Lyft, or take the San Clemente Trolley (stop #16A) for Casa Romantica (weekends only).

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is committed to providing a safe, educational, and enjoyable environment for all visitors. We will continue to keep the community informed about the progress of the ongoing work and any further developments.
