Frequently Asked Questions
What are processing fees and how do they work?
Processing fees are 6% for the Starter plan and 4% for Launch and Premium plans. This includes the merchant fee (2.9% + 30¢) that Stripe charges for processing credit card payments.
Organizers with Launch or Premium plans can enable Processing Fee Handling to absorb and hide the fees from travelers and use the Smart Trip Pricing Calculator to automatically calculate the price adjusted for processing fees.
For example: If you’re on the Standard plan and your trip cost is $1,000.00, your travelers will pay $1,060. You will receive $1,000.00, and we will receive $60 to pay Stripe and our processing fees.
How do I get paid?
Before you can publish your first trip, you will be prompted to create a Stripe account or log in with your existing account. With Stripe, we will be able to process traveler payments on your behalf, and you can direct the daily payments to your chosen bank account.
To ensure proper documentation and verification, Stripe usually takes 7–14 days to release your first payment, after which you can receive payments any time you desire.

What payment options are available for my customers?
Travelers can either pay in full via credit card or Apple Pay, or pay in installments through Klarna, AfterPay, or autobilled monthly payments with their credit card. If you choose to enable installment plans, you control the minimum deposit amount and payment dates.
Do you send receipts and payment reminders?
Yes! We send receipts, payment reminders, and payment failure notifications.
How do I view my sales?
In addition to getting email alerts when your travelers make payments, you can view your sales in real time on your SquadTrip dashboard.
