This series takes the form of a panel discussion and Q&A with an audience of environmental funders, NGOs and movement leaders. Guest panelists will share their work campaigning on the frontlines for climate justice and advocate for the urgent need to move from words to action when it comes to resourcing the vital work of those tackling the climate crisis.
The panel:
Umesh Balal Magar (Nepal) works to channel his experiences as a differently-abled person and indigenous community member towards building awareness around the disproportionate impacts of climate disasters on vulnerable communities. Umesh formerly served as the former Network Coordinator for Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (the most influential youth coalition in the country devoted to climate action) and currently serves as the Youth Focal Point for the Nepal Water Conservation Foundation.
Raysa França (Brazil/Finland) is a Brazilian youth climate and nature leader passionate about growing communities, vegan food, animal rights, new economic thinking, feminism, justice and social inclusion within the climate and nature movements. Raysa recently embraced Finland as her new home where she serves as the Regional Director at Youth4Nature and as a co-founder at Symbiosis Tampere.
