Yesterday was the start of a long term capacity building programme with Universiti Putra Malaysia 's Faculty of Biotechnology & Biomolecular Sciences UPM. Thanks to Prof Ts Dr Hidayah Ariffin , Deputy Dean and Director of Biorefinery Complex. We started with intro on #sciencecommunication with an aim to organise advanced level workshops on specific topics on scicomm. We targeted 60 participants, had 85 registered and then 7 more walk-in participants. They are researchers, academic staff, undergraduates and postgraduates, and those working in STEM. And they came from all over Peninsular Malaysia. I was so touched to hear many participants are inspired through my social media postings, and my sharing help them to make decisions and also wade through tough times in their work and academic life. Some undergraduates are those who met me at Sri Murugan Centre when they were in school and got into #stemeducation after listening to my talk. I don't remember my actions but to know that I am creating footprints makes me want to do more. Looking forward to more programmes with my alma mater. UPM always holds special place in my heart. I realise I spend half of my time in universities, either local or overseas. Happy that I am blessed to have this opportunity to support talent development and #youthempowerment .

It was a great pleasure to participate a conference today organized by career guidance unit in faculty of arts at Univerity of Colombo. Global exposure - an insight into creator economy was the main topic of the conference today where they highlighted how we could approach international markets by doing things creatively. In order to get into the global market space firstly we should need to have a global mindset, identification of opportunities, knowledge and finally research and development and etc. knowldge, skills and talents should be blended with technology in order to achieve the desired results in globally as well local perspective. Furthermore, they highlighted that 38% of people use social media when they’re free during their leisure times and it will be increasing up to 55-%-60% periodical manner. In addition to that, STEAM stands for science, technology, Engineering, arts and finally maths when something produce sophisticated example such as manufacturing mobiles or electrical appliances and equipments and etc. As a result of that ART or creativity part of the product or service play a critical role in the design or marketing when it’s come to make it commercialized. #globalexposure #creativeeconomy #univeristyofcolombo
