Reap Benefit is organising its first
Data Bootcamp on
January 6
th, 2024 from
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.Through the work done by SolveNinjas and Citizens, Reap Benefit has put together datasets on hyperlocal data on climate and civic issues. This data can be mined to highlight issues in different geographic regions. In the Bootcamp, a mix of active problem solvers and data specialists will work together to make sense of the data and develop initiatives to make the data more robust, make the data more accessible to different stakeholders, and help others communicate compelling stories and take community action.
For Civic & Climate Action Enthusiasts: Develop practical skills in analysing, interpreting, and visualising hyper-local data that will enhance your ability to have impact.
For Data Experts: Explore the real-word application of your data skills in grassroots initiatives, learning how to use data for tangible civic & climate impact.

No one is an expert in this space, everyone has an equal opportunity to participate but you must meet few prerequisites by answering the questions below. There is selection process as there are only 20 spots available.
You do not require any computer language proficiency, however, foundational understanding of data science will help the data enthusiasts.
Please bring your own laptops.
Format (as a valued participant, please come with an idea of curiosity) :
1. You'll be assigned into a group
2. You will have access to data sets of Reap Benefit
3. Use these data sets to create your own story of impact and learn foundational data skills
4. Spend 7 hours with a group of exclusive mentors and experts to take you on journey of data x change
Each group of 4 will have a mix of problem solvers and data - oriented participants to bring different perspectives.
