Since 1978, the Chicago-Kent College of Law Alumni Board of Directors has proudly hosted the annual Alumni Awards Celebration in honor of the extraordinary cohort of alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of law, the judiciary, public service/government, business/commerce, or the media, as well as those who have made significant financial and/or volunteer contributions to the law school year after year.
Distinguished Service Award: Recognizes an individual who has made a significant financial or volunteer contribution to the law school.
Institutional Partner Award: Recognizes a law firm or corporation that has had a significant impact on Chicago-Kent and/or on the lives of alumni and students by assisting in the advancement, growth and/or development of the law school, especially as their involvement directly impacts students and alumni. These firms or corporations have demonstrated a commitment to Chicago-Kent by one or more of the following:
Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award: Recognizes a Chicago-Kent alumnus/alumna who has demonstrated a strong commitment to pro bono legal services throughout their career.
Outstanding Young Alumnus/Alumna Award: Recognizes an alumnus/alumna who graduated from Chicago-Kent within the past 10 years and who has made a significant financial or volunteer contribution to the law school OR who has made an outstanding contribution to:
Professional Achievement Award: Recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to:
The Hon. Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Public Interest Law Award: The award recognizes an alumnus/alumna who makes a significant impact in the field of public interest law. The award includes a stipend intended to offset the cost of law school loan repayment for alumni who take lower-paid public interest positions. Alumni working in the public interest sector who have graduated in the last 15 years are eligible.
